❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh wow, I am so excited to fill the shelves back up this week! Today was ordering day (as is every Monday!) & it was a big one! I placed over 40 orders with our local farmers & food producers that will come in throughout the week! I did get our restock of local honey from @honey_in_the_hollow & some new recipe cards to go with their infused honeys! It’s just one of the many items to come into the shop this week!
One of the most unique (& important!) part of People’s Provisions is that we order all of our products directly from the farmers & food artisans who produce it! Rather than ordering everything from one distribution site, with one delivery day, we order everything individually & have different pick up & delivery days for everyone. This is the most time consuming part of the shop, but one I feel so proud of. Each week we order fresh, made-to-order, packaged for us food, ensuring the highest quality products. We also ensure our farmers are getting paid what they need for their food —they set the prices & I mark up for the shop as needed. Unlike traditional grocery stores, our farmers are getting paid for EVERYTHING they bring us, not just getting a percentage of what sells. I am so proud to say that we support over 75 small farms & food businesses in Pennsylvania, all of whom we have built a relationship with — they believe in our mission too!
This week we will be restocking every day! Here’s a basic outline of our weekly pickups this week:
Wednesdays – Milk, Bread, Veggies, Eggs
Thursdays – Cupcakes, Mushrooms, Fruit
Fridays – Bread, Veggies, Miscellaneous freezer & pantry items
*Cheese will arrive every day this week!
& a few highlights for this week include:
Wednesday – Take & Bake Pizzas from @perrypizzaco
Thursday – Gluten Free & Dairy Free Ice Cream from @eathoneybear
We will be filling up the shop all weekend & can’t wait to share it with you! Although we don’t have everything in stock all the time, we do our best to keep the shop full! We are also happy to order special & unique products for you too! If you’re looking for something local, just ask — I always love finding the most local food possible! Thank you for supporting local!
