✅️ this out! If you see “bees” coming from the ground, they’re not honeybees. We get a lot of “swarm” calls at this time of year and most of the time, they’re yellow jackets.

Know your Bees! Honey bees never live in the ground. Honey bees are not yellow striped, they have amber stripes. Honey bees have an all black face. Honey bees have a furry body. A honey bee can only sting once and then dies. Honey bees are very docile unless you are near thier hive.
Yellow jackets usually live in the ground, but can make a nest almost anywhere they have protection from the elements. Yellow jackets have vivid yellow stripes, and what I call the mask of evil which is a skeletal looking yellow mask on thier face. Yellow jackets have virtually no fur, and have yellow legs that dangle when they fly. Yellow jackets are not pollinators, they are carnivores. And last but certainly not least: Yellow jackets are mean and can sting multiple times.
