Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
For the Pork Chops:
-
4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
-
1/4 tsp salt
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
-
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Sticky Honey Soy Glaze:
-
1/4 cup Honey in the Hollow Bee Farm honey
-
1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
-
1 tbsp rice vinegar
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (optional, for thickening)
Optional Garnishes:
-
Sliced green onions
-
Sesame seeds
Instructions
-
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C). Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add Honey in the Hollow Bee Farm honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced. If you prefer a thicker glaze, stir in the cornstarch mixture and simmer for an additional 1–2 minutes until thickened.
-
Return the pork chops to the skillet. Spoon the sticky glaze over the chops, flipping them a few times to ensure they’re fully coated. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to heat through.
-
Transfer the pork chops to plates and drizzle any remaining glaze from the skillet over the top. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve with steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.
