Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Chill Time: 1 hour
Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
-
4 cups water
-
1/4 cup Honey in the Hollow Bee Farm honey (or more, to taste)
-
1 tbsp dried lavender buds
-
1-2 slices lemon (for garnish)
-
Fresh lavender sprigs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the dried lavender buds. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes. Remove from heat and strain out the lavender buds, discarding them. Stir in the Honey in the Hollow Bee Farm honey until fully dissolved, then set aside to cool.
-
While the lavender syrup is cooling, juice the lemons to get about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
-
In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, remaining 3 cups of water, and the cooled lavender syrup. Stir well to combine.
-
Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until cold.
-
Once chilled, pour the lemonade into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs, if desired. Serve cold for a refreshing, floral twist on traditional lemonade.
